(HEPI) has executed a formal partnership with the Arizona Center for Algae Technology and Innovation (AzCATI) and the Algae Testbed Public-Private Partnership (ATP3). This partnership will provide HEPI access to algae experts and facilities offering the company a broader range of scientific expertise to develop natural products derived from algae cultures for use as dietary supplements and food ingredients.

The company Heliae was recently spotlighted in an article from Biofuels Digest for the launch of their large-scale algae production, Volaris. Volaris is considered to be a game-changer for Heliae because it incorporates new technology that plans to open up new markets which provides the availability of algae-based products to meet worldwide demand. Heliae is a 2008 spin-out from Arizona State University and focuses on incorporating algae into the future markets of nutrition, therapeutics, health and beauty, and agrosciences.
