The Consortium for Science, Policy and Outcomes (CSPO) at ASU is ranked fourth internationally among science and technology think tanks, according to the Global Go-To Think Tanks Report.
Bills aim to help establish Arizona as algae-farming center

The House Energy and Natural Resources Committee endorsed HB 2225, which would expand the definition of agricultural lands to include algaculture research, development and commercial production on state trust land. HB 2226 would expand the definition of agricultural real property for the purposes of taxation to incorporate algaculture. That includes research, development and commercial production of algae for biofuels or hydrogen.
ASU Solar Program Tops 14.5 Megawatts

With the recent 77-kilowatt solar panel installations on top of the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communications at the Downtown campus and the the 500-kilowatt installation completed on top of the Wells Fargo Arena at the Tempe campus, ASU has now reached a 14.5-megawatt solar energy generationg capacity with future solar projects in the works. These recent additions aid in ASU's efforts to maintain and further develop their solar leadership.
AzCATI Grand Opening - ASU home to world's largest university algae test bed

Arizona leaders and algae-industry partners celebrate the grand opening of the Arizona Center for Algae Technology and Innovation (AzCATI) with the completion of the expanded test bed on February, 21, 2012, making this the largest test bed facility at a university or national laboratory in the world. Gary Dirks and Sethuraman "Panch" Panchanathan welcomed AZ Governor Brewer, Mesa Mayor Scott Smith, SFAz President and CEO Bill Harris, and Heliae President and CEO Dan Simon to address a crowd of over 150 algae industry executives and contributors.
